Low port motor into High Port Chassis
Hey everyone. I"m currently working on getting my 94 motor into my 93 shell. On initial look at the harness differences I can see that the 94's have a seperate injector harness as opposed to the highport cars. I'm thinking the cleanest way to take care of this would be to find a connector from a low port g20/200sx/sentra and then solder that connector to the seperate wires that go to the fuel injectors on the 93 harness. I'd appreciate any input from people that have stuck low ports into high port cars.

If there are any other issues I should know about in regards to this type of swap please let me know thanks.

You are going to want to use an OBDII harness and ECU to make it easy. Then just splice in the starter and other wires needed.

Your throttle cable and cruise control (doubt you have it), will need to be replaced. High port cables will probably be too short, like low port cable is too long for high port.

I would double check the size before buying a new cable though.

Yeah the OBDI vs II thing is a diagnotic thing, not a difference between 1.6 and 2.0. You are correct it's a Se-R to Se-r swap. I don't believe there are any OBDII b13's. It would be interesting if there are though.

Now that I think about it, Junky, I think you're right. IIRC the 91-94 SE-R was OBD1, however the 94.5 SE-R came with a lowport motor, but was still OBD1?

Yea, WTF? I thought the lowports in 94's were OBDII, is this correct? If not, im sorry.

Even if you could swap the sensors over from the 93 motor and use the same ecu and harness as long as the injector harness you mentioned plugs in.
