The little rubber tab that the pedal switch clicks to is probably gone or corroded.

Thus leaving your switch on all the time. Happened to me recently. Now my cruise control rubber thing is corroded as well and now I have no cruise control ignition. The lights come on but no engage.

Your welcome Ben lol

No, you have to go underneath and look at your pedals. Youll see the switch that Im' talking about that is connected to your pedal and as you engage the pedal, it will move to a rubber grommet but if the grommet is gone, it will always be on.

Did you fix it Ben?

Guys, its a simple fix. Rubber piece is probably corroded away. Replace it with factory ones from Nissan. Cost me $4

It's ok to ask questions, it's not ok to ask a question then basically tell the person who took the time to answer you that you thought his answer was wrong - he answered it for you, if the rubber is worn out, replace it. Don't hate, just get under that pedal and look.
