Thread: IACV Compatability

Installed some OE Thermoblok Spacers on my RR SR and I think I beat up my IACV in the process. It's had a real rough idle anywhere from 600-1300. I know a rough idle could be just a side-effect of the spacers, but it seems like it wants to die when I'm at idle. Driving around it feels great! It's just at idle it gives me problems. The engine is shaking around in there more than it should. I know I have a leak in the EGR from me tearing up the gasket during the install, but I don't think that would cause it. And tonight the car threw a P0505. So that makes me believe even more that I beat up my IACV during the install. I've yet to take it out again to try to clean it. That will come on Thursday when I get some free time.

My question really is, are there any other IACVs that will work on the RR SR? Thanks in advance.

Might have a leak around your spacers. You probably need to put some RTV on both sides of the spacers to get a good seal.

Ya I'm going to look into that leak option on Thursday. The other ppl who have done the install and had idle problems, AKAIK, never threw a P0505. That's what leads me to believe it is the IACV.

But my problem is that I'm also trying to find out a list of what cars had the RR SR in it. I only know which G20s had the RR and wiki didn't specify.
