nah i didnt go, i just finished my car about an hour ago.

finally, a thread where someone (me) resolved the issue of steering wheel vibration. to all those who have this problem just know that it could be your tranny but really unless you check every possible option and it that doesnt work then it could very well be your tranny.

thanks to all who helped in trying to diagnose my problem and thanks to GregV for getting my the tranny so quickly. i had forgotten what it was like to drive the car without that stupid vibration. cant forget to thank you Cesar, that shift fork from your old tranny saved the day.

happy motoring!

this is VERY good news, indeed.
now to figure WHAT inside our high mileage trannies is wearing out. there should be a cheaper fix than the price of a b15se tranny, don't you think?

im giving the old tranny away to my homie Uly cuz he helped me out. but if you guys want me to crack it open and take pics of the inside i wont be able to till this weekend unless he comes to pick it up sooner.

before i decided to just get the b15 tranny i looked into rebuilding my old one but the average price for fixing around here was 700 bucks. that made me decide to just get the b15. the reverse gear goes in so much easier on this bad boy.

i've heard (anecdotally) of the fluid breaking down inside the sealed lsd unit. but at last check mine was still a "2 tire fryer". i'll have to drill a drain hole on mine before i split the case because the oem drain drain plug was JB Welded in place as a temp fix. expect work to commence this Fall.
