I would check the motor mounts and x-member. Seems like one or more of the mounts is loose. I would almost pull each one out, check it, and put them back in. I am trying to think what would cause this after replacing axles and that rear mount comes to mind.

tie rods are new, rotors new, weights on the rims are all there cuz i just had them all balanced a couple of weeks ago. alignment just had done not too long ago. i tried to go from least expensive to most expensive lol.

i thought the same thing about the cross memeber mounts. i just checked them the day i lifted the car to put in the wheel bearings. i thought maybe it could be a loose cross member bolt. all the prothanes are in tact and everything is tight.

just thought i might add that my tranny has over 200k miles so its why i think maybe the lsd might of finally given out.

what sucks is a lot of us seem to experience this issue and for so many of us it turns out to be a different cause. all the threads i have searched dating back to 2004 seem to be a different cause or the thread never states if the issue was resolved.

i replaced everything there is and i have only one other viable cause i think it may be and thats a bad LSD. the vibration has gotten progressively worse since it started.

i just ordered a 2002 b15 lsd tranny from Greg V and i hope that resolved my issue. if not, i guess i end up with a good ass tranny out of it. plus it gives me a chance to check out the clutch and the flywheel and make sure those have nothing to do with it.

sounds to me like you need to re balance your tires. it does not matter if you did them a couple of weeks ago. the weights might have fallen off. there really is no other type of vibration that comes in a certain speed and then levels off light unbalance tires. something is up with either the rim or the tires . try balancing them and if that does not work rotate your tires front to back and see if that helps. theres only so much that will make your stearing wheel shake. you have to think what is connected. you got rack, axles, hubs with the bearings and suspension and tranny thats pretty much it. now what actually moves that can level off and cause vibration?? the bearings, the axles and inside the tranny and tires are all connected somehow to your stearing wheel and move.

I've read of so many people ending up with warped rotors when new, I wouldn't assume a new rotor is not warped. You'd notice it under braking more than acceleration though.

An unbalanced tire would cause the problem at highway speeds even if you're not accelerating. If you're on the highway and let off the accelerator to coast, does it still happen?

warped rotors would vibrate during braking. the unbalanced tire/wheel would vibrate while driving.

the rotors are a few months old and braking is as smooth as its always been. there is no vibration during breaking.

i just took my tires to get balanced and rotated again and its still doing the same thing, it didnt get any better.

if i let of the accelerator and coast the vibration is completely gone. its only under load that the car vibrates.

alot of tire machine sucks out there, Jen has one in his shop and it's always a few once off.

try to find a place with a road force balancing machine, also your wheels might be off.

i just balanced and rotated them again this morning is what i ment to say. this would be the third time i have balanced in the last month or so. im going to have the rack and pinion replaced this weekend even though i have a new transmission coming just in case its not the rack at this point. im also going to replace the rear wheel bearings as soon as i can, hopefully before the end of the week.
