This sounds just like NPM and I'm not interested in seeing shit shoved in my face just to read articles. I'd rather buy a magazine then.

I'd stop and consider how much revenue you will be making off of this site. As we all know, the SE-R community is not that big and the stereotype is that we are cheap bastards. I do not know all of the details behind how much a site makes a year and all the ads, but I do know more members/views equal more money.

M Kojima, I love your enthusiasm and motivation for starting something big for the community, I just don't want you to start it and find out the viewers are not there to support the site and it goes down the drain. We would all love more attention to the SE-R scene, but I just don't know if it's big enough to take on this project you are planning. I'd first figure out if it can be done and if it would be worth your time and money to do.

Well the thing is that I have lots of unused resoures that are basicaly sitting around doing nothing. Might as well get some use out of them. They cost me money for nothing for no one. I think we could test out some of my web ideas here.

Well surely you must read some articles somewhere in some sort of media and if you can't see the value off getting the same quailty content for nothing, then I guess you could just stay on the forum and not venture to the parts of the site you find offensive. There is plenty of room for most peoples tastes and sensabilties

^^ I have a question Mike. What prevents you from creating the site you want without using this one? This site is brand new and if it will last nobody knows. We have a grassroots vibe going on right now. Personally I think it is really cool, I can only speak for myself however. The decision really comes down to what Crim wants to do as it is his creation. I figure you are a well known guy. If you want to make your own site, guys that really like what you have going will visit it. You have a lot of info that a lot of us would probably never get around to finding out about. Two main reasons being you're an engineer, and that you have more access resources then many of us.

Also another thing comes to mind. For what you want to do our community is really small. I mean there is only so much you can do with these cars. The new frontier is probably VVL, and thats basically all I see advancing technology wise with us. The Rest of the nissan community combined would probably warrant what you want to make happen. A la nissan forum style.

Just to be clear, I would like to see you get up and running with your ideas. They sound great, honestly. Just the "style" may not be what I like. I would peruse NPM occasionally but only for something specific otherwise it was just too "busy" for my tastes. I did not mean to imply they were offensive and sorry if I came across a little strong.

Yes, I do read articles other places but I don't have direct input into those sites like do here and over "there".

I will say this, at least you are open to hearing alternative views on your ideas and for that I will give you the benefit of the doubt and give your new sites (when they are up and running) an honest try.

This will be my last post on this subject for now. If, in the future you want some honest, blunt, constructive criticism I will be more than happy to help you out.

I do wish you the best of luck Mike.

I want to start here, first. I don't want to start with a totaly blank site. I want a sounding board from people I know. Outside of here, I am not known by the public in the rest of the performance world. In the EVO world, no one knows who I am, same with the 350 Z world, the WRX comunity, GTR, Honda, the Neon and other places where I have done work. I am known behind the scenes but not by the general population.

And I am here to listen, if Crim decides to join with us, I won't change the forums, just add things around it for people to do. I understand the appeal of how the dynamics of a forum are and understand what people want.

Bascialy, the forums how they are. Changes with me will be to things outside the forum that people can link to as they please. I feel that this will only make things better.

also wanted to say, i really miss NPM. i checked it religiously every month till the new issue was posted, like i do my mail box when i get a new mag.

Cool COol. My posts again were not meant to be bashes, just what my thoughts are on those questions you posted.

I wonder how long we can keep this Se-R thing alive. They are getting close to 20 years old, lol. SHieet I can only imagine what kinda look i'll get from a grown son, or grand kid LOL. What the hell is that? Oh its still powered by gasoline?
