Am I f'd here? please look
Ok, started running the car at 15psi, clutch didnt like, i said i'll change it, got almost there and said, jeeze 3 more bolts and i can take the motor out. Ok motor out, now i figured id just get the whole car painted engine bay and all.
So now the motor is out and i decided im cleaning and painting everything on the motor to look fresh, and while im at im going to take off the lower and upper oil pan and just take a looksy in the motor to assure myself everything is a.ok and fix the leak from the horrible gasket sealing on the lower oil pan
Then i find this lil hole by the 3rd cylinder to the right(if your looking at the motor in your car)
horrible picture but you get the idea
before i interupt this with a picture i just want to say that my oil pressure has always been perfect, and there has never been a knocking noise, and there are no other wierd carvings or marks by that cylinder and the rest of the block appears to be fine

Kinda hard to tell what I'm looking at. Can you explain what the shiny part is to the right of the hole?

Am I looking at the bottom end of the motor where it mounts to the oil pans, or the top of the motor with the head removed?

sorry about that, horrible cell phone pic because someone took my digital camera
the motor is upside down with the upper and lower oil pan off. your looking between the outside of the block and the metal thing that covers up the crank. Its a tiny hole on the left side of piston 3 by like 2 inches to the left. I dont know what caused it and how long its been there

is the baffle what covers the crank? thats not where the hole is, im so mad i cant take a better pic of this lol
the hole is in the block, to the left of the piston, and like 2 inches up from the crank. so hard to explain. i dont know if something got in there and smashed it quick, the car ran perfect before i took the motor out, and the oil pressure was great. i just want to know if this will be ok?

Use this picture to describe where the hole is...

Nevermind, after looking at your picture, and then mine for comparison, I think the "hole" you're talking about is above where CYL 3 is typed, right?

If so, nothing to worry about.
