Alternator not charging?
okay so if you guys remember I asked about whats the easiest way to remove a Alternator off a GTIR motor and I got that done twice because of Defective parts from the parts store. I'm pretty sure I hooked everything up right since I had to do it twice!(I also made sure they tested the Alternator before I put it on it read 14.0V.) So anyways I finished putting on the new alternator and my turbo timer is reading 11.2V. I also bought a new Battery (Optima red top)So I dont think it could be the battery, I checked all fuses and they all are Good. So what do you guys think it could be? It's driving me crazy at this point!

Bad ground somewhere maybe? I don't know too much but that's my best guess.

I had the same thing happen to me when i had my supra,i went through 2 UN spec and 3 JDM alternators, and the car refused to hold charge i took it to my boy who is very good car electric work and it it was a little wire under my dash that was the problem.Get the charge wiring chart for the engine.

check where the main harness plug wires connect by the battery, they are large white wires, i was having issues for ever and couldnty ifgure it out and my batt wasnt charging, turned out the large white wire was loose ans stopping my alternator from charging
