New to the Nissan World
Well I just picked up a 98' 200sx SE-R for my graduation present. The car has
about 98,000 miles. Sadly the car is an auto. I'm in the process of doing a tune-up and I want to see
if I've missed anything.

So far I've done:
- Changed Oil. Mobile 1 10w-30 with Bosch filter
- 300zx Fuel Filter change
- New Cap/Rotor and New Spark Plugs/Wires
- Cleaned the Pop charger

I've noticed there is a little hesitation when I floor it. Is there anything I should
check for or is that because of the AT ?

You could change your auto tranny fluid.
Check your brakes and rotors all the way around and replace if necessary.
Drain your power steering, brake, and radiator fluid and refresh with new stuff (that is unless you will be upgrading some of those parts soon).

Don't use Mobile 1. Not as good as you have heard. But welcome to the family. If your future plans are to swap over to a 5 speed. There are write ups and people on here to help you if need be.

It might be worth it to check your base ignition timing as well.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I was reading that cleaning the EGR Valve/Tube could help with the hesitation problem.
But I can't find how to remove the EGR on lowport motors only highports. Could someone
point me in the right direction on how to remove the EGR so I could clean it.

This might help.

EGR block-off install on lowport

As long as you are in the cleaning mode, you might as well do the throttle body and the MAF. Besides, getting the MAF out will get you more room to work on the EGR. Check the intake tubing for cracks.

So basically to remove the EGR there's the two screws that hold it in place, the one
vacuum line, and the tube that I assume leads to the header. Correct?!

Mobil 1 isn't a BAD oil, it's just not as good as a few others.
