Thread: IACV/Air Regulators for Everyone

Well they are dirt cheap at least. I bought one, not sure if it will work in the newer cars, but for that price it's a steal!

what lead to to buy another one just doing preventative work? or were you getting some symptoms

very true, when i go to my local yard and theres a sr20de i always pile up on anything i may need in the future esp when you can find the parts for a good deal

I bought a brand-new OEM Nissan IACV for my Classic Restoration from Greg-V. Yes, it was a bit more than that price. LOL.

My only concern would be if those are the "new style" with the spring inside, or the "old style" with no spring?

However, even if they are "old style" spring-less, that is a terrific deal. If it eventually gets stuck or gunked-up, at that price you could just replace it again.

Would these work on a B14?

I wish I had that luxury, we don't have any SR20's in a junk yard, one or two GA sentra's and thats about it



I wonder if it will have any issues, I will data log my current IACV's information via Data Scan, then install the new one and see how it does in comparison

I bought me one before lunch. I'll wait till it gets here before I buy another one for my other motor.

Just to confirm what this is, it's not the valve that adjusts idle speed (both mechanically with the screw and automatically through the ECU). It's the air regulator that works on cold starts to increase your idle when you first start up. After a couple minutes it (should) become dysfunctional and not affect your idle or drivability.

Most of our problems come from the other valve.
