Thread: emissions haha!

ok so today me an my bud goto the emissions place to test his car so he can register it.. first time through, fail.. exhaust leaks to bad to get a good reading.. guy reccomends we goto schucks up the road.. so im like aight.. so we go there, get this exhaust tape stuff, needless to say that stuff doesnt work very well.. anyway we also realize where one of the hangers of his muffler fell off is a hole.. so we plugged it with a napkin.. an went back to the emissions place, hoping the drive there would help seal the tape.. well it didnt if anything it made it fall off.. so i was lookin through the car an came accross a sock, so i took the sock an tied it around the exhaust where the hole was, ran her through a second time, PASS!

btw they didnt charge us for the first one

Leaving holes that big in your exhaust is a good way to burn through your floor boards. Water + heat = quickly rusting metal.

lmao!!!! guys guys, its a 92 E model, my friend just bought it and had to take it through emissions so he could put it in his name an get new plates an tags, thats why i did what i did to get it to pass emissions, plus the leaks are in the very back of the exhaust.. im going to be doing a SR swap on the car soon, an it will get the full treatment

emissions testing in my area got cut out of the budget so no more testing on most cars, so sad

i believe some cars need tested an such, i dont mind taking the sentra's through, i have a 77 datsun pickup and im really glad i dont have to take it through.. no emissions on the engine, no cat, just pipe and exhaust, i dont drive the truck regularly ether.. i imagine it wouldnt take much to make it pass since it runs well.. but its cool that i dont have to..

the car we did this to will get proper attention immediatly.. then in some time it will get an sr power plant
