abnormal front motor mount
on my new 96 200sx se-r I was looking at the engine and I noticed something weired

it looks like the rubber insert disintegrated on the front mount so I bought a new one and then tried jacking up the engine to replace it and it wont lift enough to put the new one in, the 2 side mounts rubber is cracked also

I tried searching but I couldnt find anything out about it, do I have to loosen up the side mounts to get the front one to line up or does anyone think the frame of the car is bent?

You need to "coerce" the motor to fit in any mount that you've removed. You should be able to move the motor by an inch or so (left/right forward/backward) by creatively using jacking points, a big crowbar, and however else you come up with to "jiggle" the motor.

I might have to try that , could anyone recommend a good 2.5in muffler that would be alot quieter than the straight through magnaflow one

I recommend using soap

btw. Having same motormount thats gone. To test it, I fixated it with a piece of wood. Now the 'side' motor mount is acting up too, so that one is probably gone also.

The lower motor mount, praying its still good!

btw, dont fix it too hard, that way the pistons start wearing out the cylinders at a high rate.
