Thread: Radiator fans question??

One of my radiator fans was not working. I went to a local junk yard and I got two fans from a 1991 G20. I did not realized that these G20's fans have a four wire plug and my car has a two wire plug. I found another fan, but from a 1994 Sentra E(1.6L). This one has the same two wire plug that my car has.

Installed the 1.6L fan, is working good, but is LOUD. Also, is a five blades fan vs a four blades that my car had.

The questions, regardles the number of blades on the fan, Is the 1.6L fan less efficent? So far no problems, but I don't want my car to get overheated for no reason.

Any comments?

Assuming the same RPM and blade size, more blades will push more air, so don't worry about the efficiency.
