Bracing for sr20
Hi Guys
I have a four door Sentra and was wondering if stitch or seam welding the engine bay was something i would have to do to before i place in a sr20 in it.
the car is a daily but will see some track days also.

Thanks Jeff

just do a transplant, you'll be fine.. no need for extra measures...

HOWEVER, if you do decide to turn it into more of a track beast than a daily driver, it definitely wouldn't hurt you to seam weld. It makes a world of difference (according to my butt!) in a seam welded chassis vs. a non-seam welded chassis.

seam welding holds true in any race form but i've beat the snot out of many stock cars over the past 10+ years at the track (roadrace that is) and been fine.. plus you do need to watch out what the rules are for the class you run in if your racing with NASA or SCCA for example...
