Thread: 96 vs 99 Under dash harness

My under dash harness has been hacked up pretty badly and now I have a short somewhere that will probably take for ever to find so I plan to just swap out my old wiring and swap in a new harness. My ? is will a under dash harness from a 99 SE-L work in a 96?? I know the 98-99 ecu are different but I'm not certain about the under dash harness and the 2 plugs that attach to it that come off of the engine harness. Anyone ever checked this out?????

The wiring will surely be different in more ways than you will know.

For instance, you cannot take the window switch/door locks from a 95~97 and use them straight up in a 98+ car. That's just a quick example, though.
