Thread: Gti-R Rebuild Questions

Hi i have a 91 nx2000 with a Gti-R swap in it. I need to rebuild it i am doing pretty much stock due to the strength of the stock motor. I have a Few questions.

1. How can i tell what year the motor is so i can order the right parts?

2. Were can i get a complete rebuild kit for one or will i have to part it together.

3. What upgrades should i do while it is out?

4. Are the stock pistons strong i want to shoot for about 275 hp to the tires..

Well what happen to make you rebuild it. You might just need little things so tell what happened before you go crazt buying stuff

275 is no problem to the wheels....all...day.....long.....

it sat for 2 yrs before i bought it.. it has really bad blow by if i take the hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake rev it up holding my finger on it . release it and it blows like it is a bov white smoke.. . i am all most certain it has a couple collapsed rings.. due to the build up of pressure in the crank case
