Where to buy cheap/good brake rotors
I'll be driving my 92 SER across the country in a couple months and I'm trying to get the car all ready. One thing i was hoping to do was fix up my brakes.

The rotors are warped a fair bit, and for replacements I've heard good things of the Brembo blanks(a long time ago) and powerslot rotors. Any suggestions on where to get them for cheap? Thanks

Powerslot rotors from ebay. You can get them new. You wont save much but you can get lucky if the seller that usually has them (i forgot his name) is in a good mood and will knock 10$ off his list price. I got my Powerslot rotors for my AD22VF calipers about a month ago from that guy. Ill see if i can find it.

I heard alot of guys using the stock brakes buy some chinese rotors and they work out good for them. I dont think they are expensive either.

Good luck on the trip!! How long is the trip? Im getting my B14 ready as well. Going to be going to Texas late this month or early July.

eBay My World - performancepeddler

Thats the seller I got my Powerslots from. Just make him an offer on the rotors and see if he'll take it.

OK thanks ill send him a message.

I saw NOPI has the brembo blanks for ~$70/front set. I can't tell which one is the right part. Anyone know? http://nopi.com/dsp_parts.php?vpcid=437

I'm going to Iowa from northwest Washington. Crossing 3 mountains ranges at least!!! What else are you doing to get your car ready, Vex? My car runs really well I'm not sure if i need to do too much...

You would have to call them. It seems they have all 3 rotors.
the 1.6 which should be a 240mm rotor
the stock se-r which is a 250mm
nx2000 rotor which is a 257mm

If you have stock se-r brakes you want the 250mm rotor.

Im VERY paranoid about my car. Anything and everything that you do in a tune up is what I do before my Texas trips.

Distributor Cap+Rotor
Coolant system flush and system bleeding. Although this time I dont need to because I just did it about 2 months ago when I got my NX2000 radiator.
Change spark plugs and I keep a spare set in my car.
Change oil, oil filter, drain plug washer. Check for any leaks.
Cleaning and reoiling my JWT Pop charger filter.
Changing fuel filter this time.
My tranny fluid is about 2 months old with Redline MT-90 so I dont need to worry about that.
Change PCV valve
Cleaning the throttle body and intake manifold (better gas mileage!!!)
Checking brake fluid, pads and rotors (everything is about a month old)
Filling my nitrous bottle
Check all your suspension components, nuts, bolts, lug nuts, making sure they are all tight.

seriously. brembo blanks for the front on there are 28 or 24 a piece depending on a22 caliper or not, and rear rotors are the same price.

Made it across the country. Car ran perfect the whole way!

All i did was:
-change coolant
-change oil+filter
-re-oil air filter (better gas mileage)
-fuel filter (better gas mileage)

How'd your trip go Vex630?

x2 on this one. http://importrp.com

Their prices on Brembo blanks seem to be unmatched. I got a set the other month and couldn't be happier.
