Combining different head w/ blocks
Ok, let's say I wanted to put a DET head on a DE block or any head from a SR20 onto a different block (not the block that the head originally came off), what do I have to do?

-do I just put a new headgasket, slap 'em together and go? or...

-do I have to take the head and block to the machine shop, get them milled (?) down or even back to "true" then I can slap them together?

Nothing it bolts right up.

Just clean off the gasket material off of both surfaces and you are ready to go a gain.

Now if you are doing a VE head there is a little more to be done
