EGR Removal
I have a 95 200sx that I'll soon be turboing. I plan on getting the Nissport kit and do the egr block. I've been through so many different egr threads on here and sr20forum and I can't seem to get a good answer. So my question is: Ill be installing a jwt tuned ecu, will a code be thrown? And this may sound dumb but will it still be possible to pass emissions?

Thanks,
Truett

You most likely will not be able to pass the NOx part of the emmisions test if you delete the EGR. If your state tests for NOx you are probably beat. I don't know if a code will be thrown for you car....I have a B13.

You need to find a friend in the Inspection Business.

I always have to have my motor....adjusted in order to pass. It usually costs fifty or a hundred bucks, cash green money, to adjust it properly in order to pass. After the adjustment, it passes just fine.

Surely you know someone, who knows someone, who could do a proper adjustment and inspection for the right fee?

Does Idaho test NOx? I know OR/WA do not.

Now that you asked I checked my latest emission test results and it shows that they test o2, co, HC(PPM) and finally Dilution CO+CO2 all of which I'm ridiculously below on the standards... What exactly is NOx?

Dont they usually do a visual inspection as well? They will see the EGR missing.
