Thread: Replacing my gas tank on my B13 myself: Looking for suggestions

I am seriously considering replacing my gas tank myself on my B13. Other than draining the tank, disconnecting the battery, and following Haynes/FSM, are there other things I should be aware of going into this? As a relative novice mechanic, should I avoid doing this myself? I have a brand new tank and I plan on replacing on rubber tubing attached to it, but keeping the same fuel pump. Thanks for any suggestions/words of caution you may have...

Just be sure to disconnect everything on top an bottom before removing tank.. its easier putting it back on then taking it off... try to drain as much fuel out using fuel pump so it dont weigh to much...

and as always disconnect battery

take ur time make sure the fuel lines r good i did this like four times no ;ie when i had my car slammed on the ground it shouldnt take u that long empty out the take as much as possibly or ur gonna need help
