Removing Alternator Pivot bolt? GTI-R motor
Anyone know the easiest way to take off the Alternator pivot bolt? or am I gonna have to remove the turbo manifold?

It should just slide out. if it gets far enough out you can angle it. Ive never had any issues like that.

I tried sliding it out but it rubs on the wastegate side so I can't pull out the bolt all the way.I'll keep trying tho, thanks keep'em coming!

Good luck bro.. I´ve been there and it´s practically imposible. I ended up removing the alternator with the iron bracket that attachs to the block, an I had to use a joint ratchet with an elbow adaptor and took me forever.

You´ll have to remove the water neck from the block and the upper FMIC pipe if you have the ebay one. Putting it back on was worse.. it took me twice the time.

Done this several times.

Push that long bolt back in most of the way.
remove the upper bracket (2 bolts)(tensioner)
push alty all the way down.
loosen bolt on the bracket that holds the alty to engine block.(can remove it if you dont have AC)
pull alty up, and remove 2 nuts on bottom of the engine block alty bracket.

now you should be able to remove the long bolt or take alty with bracket off engine (if no AC)
and you can get the alty out of engine bay underneath bay (if no ac)

Will be a lot easier if you don´t have the AC as unijabnx2000 says.. In my case, I couldn´t do it that way, because the compressor got in the way to push the alty down.
