Thread: Need Help!! Gearbox/engine/flywheel!?!?

Guess I was a little late with my response, you guys got it handled. Good to hear it's the flywheel, TONS cheaper!

lol yea DMsentra...we believe so far its the flywheel, because of the signs, im happy its the flywheel and not the engine, My engines works really well..it puts down alot of power for a "Stock" engine, i had a 4puck ACT Unsprung Copper Clutch, and the ENTIRE center spline on the clutch was CLEANED OUT from the gearbox lol

Yeah if you can see the 8 bolts spinning when your helper turns the crank pulley then it's 100% the flywheel.

There's probably going to be some real sharp edges on there when you take it apart, so watch it.

wildmane, well its the flywheel 100%, i rememeber the first night when we took down the gearbox and we thought it was the crank shaft, and we turned the pulley, the 8bolts were spinning but that was all and the flywheel wasnt...so good..

when you were riding the clutch how much did the car move.... like just a little bit or could you keep it going if u rode the clutch

well i believe it wud have moved a fair amt if i kept on doing it, but it moved not much, but not little, and the engine was sounding VERY normal to me, i didnt notice anything of a difference when i got the problem..is not to say i heard the engine sounding different like something was wrong with the engine or anything like that, and i let the car idle before i took it off, and it sounded very normal to me.

and well wildmane, nope no details as yet, my friend who is helping me with everything, right now he is doing his conversion, had a CA18DET in a Nissan B14 Sentra, and that blew, so he is doing a VVL conversion now, almost finish, so as soon as he finishes with that, its my car.
