Was it hard to get this axle in? If the old one came out no problem and the new one was difficult to get in I would say it is more than a possibility that you bought it messed up. Somebody just returned a screwed up core, the rebuilder rebuilt the joints, and then passed it on to you.

when i first got the car it had a blown engine, i put my de in there, accidently ripped the nissan oem axle boot, (me bein dumb turned it in as a core) instead of replacing the boot.. but i drove on the ripped boot axle for a few days.. so then i took it out (which would be the second time) first time bein when i put my old de in.. it came out easy.. so this replacement axle i got i put in there.. also went in easy.. then my old de started knockin, so i got the ve.. this was this first time i ever removed the replacement axle.. it was a pain in the ass... but went back in easy.. then i wanted to drop the tranny to do a few things.. so tryed to pull the axle out.. once again it didnt want to come out.. im thinkin i bought it messed up from the get go.. the splines on the tranny where the axle goes in look fine, both sides..

this new axle im gettin from greg will be brand new.. if i have this problem again, i'll know its prolly the tranny..
