Describing sounds is very subjective.


It's hard to get it because the sound is very faint thus you can barely pick it up with your ears usually. When I hear it I feel it thought out the car though.

Maybe you don't hear it as much when your car is in gear because its 900 rpm versus a few thousand a loud car? Just a thought.

I'm almost certain the noise is coming from the transmission. I've had it apart a few times, it looks fine, but when you spin the wheels, its coming from there. Will put another one in to see if the noise goes away.

Looks like this is gone for me. I replaced the wheel bearing and drained tranny fluid and refilled it with new stuff.

Oh yeah, that noise was the transmission. Put another one, noise is gone, go figure.
