Thread: Headlight Haze!!

Okay so I got one of those headlight cleaning kits for my black crystal clears cause they have a lil oxidization on em. They came out smooth with the wetsand. But when it came time to polish em, they won't get clear! I tired a meguiars headlight polish and same thing. they will clear up if I wipe some goo gone on it and then eventually haze back up.

I'm stuck!! anyone know what I can use to get my headlights back to Crystal clearness.......LMK JT!

Jewelers wax and a buffing wheel on a drill or something would do it. I would only use it as a last resort though it is hard to do large surfaces evenly. It could melt/buff through the plastic if you are not careful.

stop smoking that cuush around the headlights.

i've always just hit them with some clear after i knock the trash off the lenses. then buff that until it's smooth, keeps the haze off, and protects them a bit from more sun damage.

The 1st time i did it, i used some 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sanded the hell out of it, then buffed it. It worked for like a year and now it's back to haze...

The headlights on my B15 are a lost cause, but I use Plexus on my wife's Altima and it works well. I think its better for prevention. So get 'em clean and try some Plexus.

never use an abrasive on headlights unless its a last resort...they have a special film on the case that should not be sanded off...if one were to wetsand with 2000 then a extra cut compound must be used to take the 2000 grit cratches out then a machine glaze for final
