Ok, I recently got a DE that has been sitting for over a year...
Upon start-up, white smoke, so I was thinking condensation and the affects of a motor sitting for so long... I filled the car up with oil, drove it for about 2 days and it was low on oil.
Then I installed my fpr and the proper ecu, still white smoke, I checked the oil level, and low on oil, and ran my finger in the muffler, and black residue, smelled like oil...
here's what installed DE w/ 370cc @4bar, E60 MAF, T25
the white smoke has also been present with the DE w/ 370cc @3bar, DE MAF
and DE w/ 259 cc, DE MAF
I'm sure it's burning oil...So I should do a compression check right? and if there is low compression in one of the cylinders, I should be replacing a piston ring, correct?
keep in mind that the timing is not set and neither is the TPS...
