Need some help and some opinions. The original piece was used as a mold for the new guy. the CF peice came out a little larger in the wheel wells. Their are 2 ways to fix this. One is to cut the ends and epoxy them shorter or two make a adjustments to the mold. unfortunatly making the adjustments to the mold will cost me more to make the adjustments. No price was decided to repair the mold properly. The peice is entirely one. If we cut the ends shorter and trim the half inch down and epoxy the piece back on it wouldnt cost any more money. I would end up doing this myself. I do have 15 years experiance in bodywork and fiberglass so I am not doubting my capabilities to do this. I just dont have the equipment to do CF molding. The cut would be clean so no overlay on the piece would be necesary. you might just see a small line were the piece meets and thats all.
Let me get some opinions on this to help out my decision.

Mold.
I say fix the mold, we've already come this far to get a quality CF product to finish the ends in Fiberglass seems a little bittersweet. I am down for CF Mold fix. I know this will cost more, but what if we all divide the cost to fix the mold??? GUYS!!!???

I agree, although I am confident Supercowboy could do a very good job at fixing the ends as well. I am torn in the middle somewhere right now

- Where is everybody? People that have paid are not responding anymore. How much is the fee for the new mold?

Fix the mold

Just alittle disappointed that after 9 months the mold wasn't perfect.
