Please Help!!!!
hi, well before i start i want to say that i found this on the old forum but it was dated about a year ago but no one has replied a solution since. i was wondering if one of you guys can please help me. my car has the same issue it is my daily driver and i wish to have it back to the way it was before. i am going to put " around the part of the thread in which i found.

I have a 91 ser 147K "Starts up fine.. idles w/ a slight miss (ordered new NGK wires, plugs already and installed). However.. The car just doesn't make any power under load. If I sit and just rev it I can hear it slightly backfire through the intake (or so it sounds) but it will rev to redline fine. However under load/acceleration there is no power. I'm lucky to get this thing up to 30mph. It just dogs out real bad and runs about like a lawnmower. Its obvious its not making power on all cylinders. Now here's what I've checked/diagnosed so far."

Compression test: cylinder 1=150 cylinder 2=150 cylinder 3=150 cylinder 4=155

Replace spark plugs (platinum) wires (NGK) distributor cap and rotor

i will also like to say that i recently put a VE valve cover on it and taken out the AIV, oil separator, and resonator. i have the BPT valve and EGR still on the engine, but i dont know if that could be the problem because it ran like an animal before this problem started occurring. i have brand new air filter. Mobile 1 full synthetic 10w 30. no a/c compressor. the problem started happening as i was on my way to work. i was on route 287 and going around 80 90mph then got on to woodbrige ave. in which i stopped at a light. as the light turned green i proceeded to go but as i was letting of the clutch in 1st gear the car acted as if it wanted to stall. then it started happening. i recently used a fuel system cleaner called RunRite. after using this god awful smelling product the car now backfires ever more.(around 3000-4000rpms). I had some old cracked, nasty lines including the PCV line. I replaced the lines and the idle cleaned up quite a bit.. but it didn't fix the issue. what i have done is while the car idling i pulled the spark plug wires out individually. when pulled from cylinder#2,3,4 the idle drops drastically. but when cylinder#1 wire is pulled the idle does not change. i was talking with my co-worker at STS and he thinks that i should change the ignition coil. in which my other co-worker says if it was the coil the car would not start. my father said to me the engine could be out of time.

"To me if its backfiring through the intake manifold and not making power.. I've gotta have a leak somewhere in the intake side. Correct? The only other thing I can think to do is remove the intake manifold and replace the gasket and replace every vacuum line I see that I haven't already replaced. That and first pull the injectors and check each one for spray pattern."

Any other thoughts or ideas?

if there is no change in the cylinder then da wire, sparkplug or the injecter is bad. change the injecter since u seem to have change evrything else
