Is it bad to do this?!?!?!
is it bad to use a brand new OEM throw out bearing on an aftermarket clutch? the clutch is rated for over 300whp. it is an ACT clutch with a heavy duty pressure plate. The reason why i ask, is because i bought only the clutch disk and pressure plate without the bearing, and i have purchased an OEM TO bearing at a local nissan dealer.

Probably fine since the bearings will be designed for RPM life. I assume of course that the force of aftermarket clutch springs will not affect that life significantly which may be wrong but I can't visualize how the setup works!!! Lol sounds dumb.

Nah, it'll be fine. The stock TOB works better than anyone else's in my experience. It just sits at the end of the clutch and spins, so Danja is right, it's affected by rpm and not by torque or hp. I've never had problems with my car, which was making over 300 crank hp. In fact, I threw out my clutchnet TOB about 3 months after I put the clutch in because it was rattled around too much, sounded like crap.

The oem bearing is better. clutchmasters used to give you a brand new oem bearing with their clutch kit.
