You should make a post in Calum's section asking about it.

Losing some resolution might not be a bad thing. Imagine I told you that you had to manage your day without using 'seconds.' You'd still have hours and minutes, though... It would proabably have absolutely zero effect on your day. On the other hand, if minutes were taken away, hours really wouldn't be granular enough to manage your time effective.

So the more important question becomes how much impact does that loss of resolution have on your maps. I (along with many others) run a Z32 MAF on a relatively low power setup. The Z32 can support 500whp, I'm not even making half of that. I haven't had any issues, but perhaps I'd notice an improvement by using something like the N62 instead.

^^ I agree with Tekkie. Thats maximum HP & not WHP. Also the maximum upper limits of the MAF has nothing to do with how it runs in your car..

This MAF and many other MAFs will run just fine in cars using only a small percentage of the MAF capabilities. The trouble will be finding a VQ map for the MAF. And for the Ford Lightning, we do not currently have a working VQ map (that I could find)..
But thats not to say that the Ligtning MAF is not a viable future option; just not one currently...

We need a good alternatives for both our MAFs & Dizzys going forward into the future...
As our original OEM MAFs & Dizzy are becoming very old, tired and soon undependable...
(As well as more expensive for a new dealer OEM replacement, if we can find one in 2012)

I don't know I think resolution is important. IMO you shouldn't run a MAF sensor that is way out of your hp goals same as with injectors.

Sure any MAF sensor can be tuned but for me the N60 has always done the job for bolted VE and DE+T setups. I pull them at the bone yard for $10-20 and they all always run the car well. Good dyno/dd etc.

Sup Benito...
If you guys can get good N60s at that price, I may need you to send me a few.
Healthy N60, N61 & Z32 MAFs are becoming scarce around here.
Also its become hard to find healthy Dizzy's too..
Please LMK..

BTW, have you hooked up with Mike (ishkabibble) yet?? He moved & drove his NX to Portland in January..

So what if the maximum the MAF can take is 700whp? Has nothing to do with running it in your car. Just tells you what it will support you with, MAX.

I didn't mention anything about a Cobra, either

Good point, for some reason I was thinking it was pushing more then 360bhp. I thought more of 500ish hehe.

As for Cobra, that was the one that maxes out at 350whp so I thought you were talking about that

I found some brand new non-OEM MAF's on ebay for about $110 shipped. I know that it's not a good idea to go non-OEM for electronics, but when OEM is failing us could this help?
