Thread: Anybody know this SR engine?!

I found this locally.. never seen this before. Anybody know what engine it is?

Look at:
- intake mani
- tb position
- oil catch tank
- egr positon
- etc.

Yeah that's a little strange lol Never seen it before. Maybe a RWD? Myabe that's why the intake wraps around so close to the rear of the engine?

was that thing sitting outside in the rain since the mid 90s?

holy rustbuckets batman! It has every indication of a sr20 but that egr routing is getting to me. RWD would make sense based on the layout of key elements, but I've never seen one like that either.

Look at the code stamped into the block and get a picture of it?

Also, the valve cover and placement of accessories points me to believe its a FWD oriented SR.

Touche salesman, touche...although it looks to me like the alternator and p/s pump are switched from normal FWD engines...

looks like its out of a serena Van. they used sr20's in serena vans in JP. Typically all the ancillaries were totally swapped on them so they could fit them in and service them from above.

We have Nissan Serena here. But they are not very common and i though its Di (single injecton) and not DE.

It comes out of a FWD VAN.

I can not remember the name of it. I use to see these back in the day but it has been about 8 years or so since I have seen the last on.
