Thread: boomslang harness

my buddy told me about this company that does conversion harnesses. and when i looked them up they didnt have anything under 200sx/sentras.

so i called them and talked to a representative and he told me that the 240SX S14 harness would work bc it has the same pinout as my 200SX SE-R ECU... does that sound right???

What are you trying to do?

If I remember right, the pinout is close, but I'm 99.% sure they aren't the same. Even if the pinout was the same, the wires probably wouldn't be in the right place because of the placement of things on a fwd motor vs placement of things on a rwd motor. Wires are wires though, and with a couple of pinout guides, some extra wire, and some pigtails from your original harness; I'm sure you could make it work.

i looked up the pinout diagrams for a 200SX SE-R and a 96 240SX and they are exactly the same. i looked up the info on Nissan ASIST.

so it looks like the harness should be good to go. =D

Why not save the $200, and do it yourself? there aren't too many wires to solder in, and the instructions Apexi provides are decent enough.
