So are all turbo mufflers offset?

i keep telling you get a stock muffler off a car that flows more exhaust like a maxima (Not the duel exhaust) or something of that nature. Im sure a 02-03 or which ever year didnt have the duel mufflers would flow good for you only being n/a with no cams.

Yeah pretty much... There is a center offset one, but it costs 3 times more and probably will be louder...

I've been fishing around for stock mufflers... most of them are too long, I looked under my bro's maxima and it was def. too long to fit between the pipe and bumper

What about a muffler off of a WRX or something like that. They look like they have a larger diameter.

I made you a picture. It bolts right up to the Greddy midpipe.

Dang man you didn't have to go that far! That looks pretty nice actually

So I came across a page on SE-R.net about mufflers. Right here...

Some quotes from that page:

Between James and I we have tried other mufflers (Flowmaster, Walker Dynomax, a generic turbo) and they all suck. They are too loud, "drone" on the freeway and are just obnoxious, I drive 50-80 miles a day to work and he drives about 120 miles, so we couldn't stand the cheaper mufflers after a few months. When we went to the Stillen and Borla we both felt a very nice improvement in low end torque and upper end pull over the other mufflers.

The OE muffler is of excellent design, of course it produces back pressure to reduce noise, but only above where non cammed SR20DEs poop out, or after 6500rpm. With or without a cat the stock muffler is producing results close to the turbo muffler, but MUCH quieter. The OE muffler seems to start increasing back pressure at about 5500 rpm on up. Nissan did their homework in designing that muffler, the back pressure buildup corresponds very nicely with the stock engine performance characteristics. A stock SR20DE starts to choke after 6500rpm, the OE muffler ramps up 1 or 2 psi till about 6500rpm where it sharply increases to its maximum.

...I used a stock STi muffler I found when I put my first (stock) engine in... I/H/E with 2.5" exhaust; header, 2.5" b-pipe, 18" resonator, then muffler. I still got the seat-of-the-pants acceleration difference, with only a little bit of noise - sounded good when I romped on it, yet quiet enough to NOT set off alarms in parking garages.

This time, it's I/H/E with 3" exhaust, 24" resonator, and Thermal R&D 3" muffler w/ resonated tip. It's REALLY loud (sets off car alarms in parking garages, etc.) but it's not raspy. It would definitely be deeper if the resonated tip's steel filling was not rusted out to bits.

My friend's car has a GReddy SP1 on it (I/H/E) with no resonator or cat, and it sounds really good, really deep. It's lots of intake noise, and just enough exhaust bass to remind you that you got one on your car .

If making your own isn't an option, I'd get either the HKS or the Greddy SP2.
