Tanabe make some of the lowest DB Mufflers on the market.
I dont know if you can buy the Muffler outside of the Cat back system.

My friend has one for his RSX, medallion edition. I mean its QUITE..
Oh, and his car is Turbo BTW I know that helps.

Wow I listened to some sound clips, pretty quiet! It's only for 02+ Se-R's though

The Quest is Over!
The Quest is over, I have found and attached the quiet muffler








Now something interesting, to why it is dual pipped...

The pipe on the left is the regular normal driving one, while the one on the right is more of a straight through design. It has a flange that opens when you gun on the car, thus opening up the exhaust gases to exit through there...

Normal driving pipe:


Blocked off until under load pipe:

ummmmm,, quest for a quiet muffler.......i dont think so.......that black muffler that i was goona get rid of , i just put on....and that is quiet
