Very Odd Fuel Problem
Ok, well I have been trying to diagnose a problem on my ve for a week or so here. Today I pulled the rail, and swapped my #1 and #2 injectors with fresh o-rings also.

I pressure tested the rail, and after everything checked out I realized my fuel pressure was going to 40, then after the pump was primed it would instantly drop to zero.

This was with the fuel rail out and no leaks from the injectors.

I tried swapping out the stock fpr with a nismo afpr I have. The pressure would hold at 60psi. I started the car, seemed to start ok. I pulled off the vacuum line, and no change in the pressure. I turned the adjustment screw all the way in, then out, and pressure stayed at 60psi. I shut off the car and let it sit for 15min, the pressure stayed at 60psi. I decided to take off the nismo fpr, and when i pulled off the return line no fuel came out, and the gauge still read 60psi. I unbolted the regulator and the fuel came shooting out of the rail.

SO I tried swapping my buddies ga16de regulator in, and now it is doing the same thing as before. When I prime the system the pressure instantly falls to zero.

Any ideas? This is really running me around the block.

Have you checked all of the lines or even replaced them? Is the return line clogged and creating back pressure? Got any pics of the lines? Are you still running the charcoal canister? I do not know what it could be at this point but it seems it is not the FPR.

Nismo FPR is BAD !! It should adjust ..60 psi is way to high ...

Try this .... with the stock FPR , run the engine , pinch the return line and shut it off .... the pressure should jump to around 80 psi or so and stay ... if it drops you have a bad check valve in the pump ( pump sounds bad anyways since its only making 60 lbs with the NISM FPR , should be 80+ ) .... If the pressure stays and then drops when you unpinch the return , you have a bad FPR !!
