Will a 6" round resonator/ muffler fit under a b13??
I was wondering if it's possible to use a 6" round muffler/ resonator on a b13 instead of the usual 4" round one. Now my car is lowered on some road magnets. I would just like to know if anybody has dome this and will I have any issues ??

Thanks

A couple people have done it. Some of them have had issues with it rattling against the underbody of the car. I imagine it could be done with some TLC, but when I did my exhaust I stuck with the 4" stuff, and I didn't want to deal with anything larger than 5".

I just bought three resonators to make sure things were quiet instead of trying to stuff a 6" resonator under there.

Vadim has a thread of his installed (since removed) and others do too. No real detailed pictures of clearance or anything though.
You could take a couple two liter soda bottles, cut the ends off of them and cut them down the middle and make a 6" diameter tube out of them real cheap and bring it under the car to see what kind of clearances you're dealing with. You could even leave a slit in it so it would wrap around your stock exhaust so you won't have to remove that to check clearances.

you could solve the rattling issue with some poly exhaust mounts and proper exhaust hanger placement. however a 5inch round will likely do the trick. whatever you end up getting check out the prices at performancepeddler.com i have been looking up parts for my mazda3 exhaust and thats the lowest prices.

Should fit fine. but you might need to remove the shields. I have it on mines with a kartboy bushing.

Why put it under the car? Its much quieter this way

But on a side note, it will rattle like crazy under the car. My friend has one, he welded some tabs to have a solid mount, and that made it worse so now it just hangs and hits everything. I'd go with 2 18" long 4" body ones.

I ordered my (2) 5" round x 18"long magnaflows from performance peddler.I just had them welded back to back. They replace the cat and resonator on my NX.
I just had it installed today, along with a VRS 3" and Vibrant stealth muffler.I will be posting a thread as soon as I get all the pics uploaded.

I saw this, but Ameen had to lose his heatsheilds to get it all the way up in there. But,yeah,he went with just the 6" res and side exit.
