Thread: how long do SR20's last for

i have a chance at picking up a 95 G20T but it has 270k kilometers, it has new brakes, tires, new alt, and new battery, maroon exterior with black leather, leather looks in good condition except there is a tear on one of the rear door panels, anyways hes looking for $3900 but i can probably get it down to about 2500-3000 but with such as a high mileage car, would it be worth it to buy it and then have to dump money into a new motor

ok so 270000 km = 167770.221 mi since we're using different systems i had to get that out of the way so u know what im talkin about lol..

i've seen sr20s go anywhere from 160,000 miles to 290,000 miles although most the ones i've seen die were at just under or just over 200,000 miles

it really depends on how you treat them, how you drive how often u do oil changes an tune ups.. running quality gasoline ect.. i know your money is different then mine but not by much, i'd say 2500-3000 sounds fair as long as it runs an drives well

For a 95 I would not pay more than $1600-$2000 espacially for high miles like that. If was under 100.000 miles it would be well worth $3000 though in my opinion.

160-170 thousand miles isnt that much for a car of that year, plus depends on condition, i've worked at 2 different used car lots and i've seen a ton of cars that were 2000+ with over 200,000 miles on them i think 2000 would be fair, thats what most decent shape 200sx's / classic se-rs go for if in good condition.

i reccomend to everyone to never buy a used car from a car lot.. no point in payin 5-6000 for something thats really only worth 1500-2000.. its a shame what they do to some people, i quit cause i felt bad for screwing people an lyin to they're face on a daily bases lol
