Thread: Questionable Alternator Connection

As stated, there's a connection to the alternator that makes me wonder. It's the small screw-on connection to the outside of the front housing. Based on the diagrams in the FSM, I can't see why it's there. Seeing as mine is corroded off completely and hasn't been connected for ages, I'm thinking it's some funky redundant line for something.



Anyone know it's true function?

It is a ground. Its always good to keep your grounds happy and good.

What I was thinking. Seemed silly to have anything else connected to the housing. Thanks
