Two things with one thing in common... bad grounds.
You need to reground your lights and alternator, I actually suggest you reground the whole engine bay with a grounding kit that a forum member sells for like $30, or make your own.
Here is where I did my own ground kit and where I wired everything up.
Next you need to get yourself a 4 wire O2 sensor, this sensor has an extra wire for a ground, instead of using the O2 sensor housing for the ground. Stainless Steel does not do too well with passing the ground from the engine block to the O2 sensor. Thus Bosch designed the 4 wire O2 sensor
