idle affected by light on/off WTF (New)
Since i installed my SSAC headers I noticed that if I am at idle and turn my lights on the idle drops ~80RPM and gets a lot rougher. I cleaned my grounds etc before so not sure what is causing it. Any ideas? Also I did remove the AIV when I did the headers but overall that improved idle as it usually does. Thanks

that's what happens when you run fake parts.

Might be the grounding of the o2 sensor. I read somewhere that it doesn't ground well with stainless.

Increase idle as a bandaid to 900 until ur alt dies.

well i check out the voltage from the alternator when i get a chance and see if thats it. Would raising the idle 100rpm really make that much of a difference? because even when it drops it is still above 750rpm or so. thanks

Yeah, your alty is dying. Raising it 100 RPM would help; just remember - 100 RPM is a ~12% increase if you're already idling at 800 RPM.

F&$%^$%^ ! I hate spending money or replacing stuff when it means the money for upgrading has to be used up. Oh well so be it. Thanks for the help guys
