Thread: sr20det sleeve question

ok guys im having my sr built and im trying to get 500 to 550hp over time. i got everything needed so far in the bottom end only thing we didnt think about doing is the sleeves. i hear the stock sleeves will hold up and i heard they wont hold up. i dont have the money for me to put sleeves in. think i can get away without doing the sleeves or should i try and get the upgraded sleeves.

like i said ill most likely run 400 450hp at first after i get the rest of my mods needed ill be looking to go higher. should my stock oem sleeves be ok?

stock sleeves are fine, no problems at all with 450-500 whp.

You'll be just fine with stock sleeves. I wouldn't be worried one bit. I might start to worry above 600 WHP, but even then I wouldn't be worried too much. =]
