I have common sense, but yes there are things I gotta work on and improve with me and with the company, dont hold the past on me and dont count me out without dealing with me personally. I dont belittle peopel to be a jerk I joke around because thats how the people Ive always been around act around each other. I have adjusting to do with my way of speaking to people I wont deny that. I guess I just like sliding a joke in here and there that isnt always taken the way I mean it. Im working on it , give me a break after all you havent done business with me so you cant classify me as an asshole just yet well at least im asking you not too lol

Dustin- Just a word of advice coming from someone who runs a shop also....it seems that you understand that you need to chage the way you do business to make money and keep people happy, which is good, but I do not really understand why you would be put in charge of running a business when you did not know that already. Another suggestion would be that if you want to broaden you customer base and be able to make money, I would suggest changing the name and owner of the business. I understand that would take a beating on Jason's pride, but I really think that he has a bad reputation and to start fresh with a new name would help. You won't fool any old school guys by changing your name, but at least new customers who search for your customer rating will not be automatically discouraged. Lastly, stop making excuses.....just man up and change how you do things, you sound like someone who has no experience running a business no matter how organized you are. People do not want to deal with someone who doesn't understand people, and you my friend, at this point, do not. Good luck and no hard feelings, I am just being honest with you.

wow, cant believe someone from jgy actually came on here and posted. Now that takes guts, haha surprise surprise. lol

neways yeah its gonna take you a long long time to put back together that company. You literally need to have a 100% customer satisfaction rating from here on out for most all of the forum members here to ever even consider purchasing from you again or at all.

But hey more power to you for trying i guess. Good luck

Your correct, I have no experience in running a business and Im not in charge of every little thing that goes on here. When I came to JGY I was given a pile of duties and Im working my way up and gaining the necessary knowledge to run things 100% so that Jason can concentrate on other things that need his attention. The things that are written on forums such as this one will continue to discourage some potential new customers I understand that, but chaging names and all that jazz inst the way imo to change things. Im not real keen on running away from a problem you know what I mean ? I wasnt hired to be the "spokes person" for JGY but I love my job and I take pride in it, the last thing I want is to be thought of as the problem.

You dont like Jason ? Maybe you dont like Garlin because he wears glasses. Im cool with that. But how many of you guys know me ? Take a chance, im not saying call and place an order but next time you need something call and ask for me, be honest and say look Dustin I personally hate JGY and have had nothing but problems in the past. Then tell me what your interested in. Maybe you were steered wrong in the past but Ill be strait up with you, if you ask me about something and I know its going to take awhile etc Ill tell you 100% honest all the time he look were busy right now I dont think I can do what you want in the time frame you want it done. Then maybe next time you call Ill be able to get what you want done in a time frame that better suites you. Im not a part of JGY to lie and screw anyone over. Good business isnt about misleading somone and I wont do it. So like I said the only thing I wanted to accomplish here is just give me a chance dont think Im a problem when all I want to do is work on the future. The past is the past and I know many of you wont buy from us and that sucks from a business standpoint but I do however understand. All I can do is go into work on Monday and look ahead.

Dustin- I personally do not know Jason, but I have read horror stories, seen pics of the work and prices charged to do the work, the time it has taken, etc etc, you know the deal by now. I can say that I respect the way you came across on that last post. I understand that you are not running every aspect of the business, but maybe you should be. You seem like a reasonable guy and if you do the research on the old forum espically, you would have to understand. Good Luck on the business, but I have sworn JGY off a long time ago when I saw personally what a couple of friends went through. Have you seen the fwd sr20 downpipe that they sell, originally sold as a mandrel bent but was really press bent and fit poorly. All three that I have seen were not ideal and also definatly not worth the price. It seems as if also, you are as busy as you say you are, you should be looking into hiring a new employee just because of the fact that you can do more business...... correctly and quickly with good customer service and have plenty of money to pay the new employee and make the owner some money. Good luck, you showed maturity in this situation since you have been posting on here. You live and learn and can tell a persons true character when they can admit their faults and work to improve on them.

Kinda reminds me of the current Geico comercials with the stack of bills & Dustin telling Jason "Hey, thats the money you could have made if we had a better sales approach"

I know where not in the same business but im self employed & I got to give most of my clients "Freebies" like doing their Mail & FedEx runs for free just to keep their business.

I learned this the hard way but it doesnt matter how wrong the customer is but they are always right & in the early going I lost a few clients due to my stuborness & of the few people I hired/contracted to work for me.

Dustin, hopefully the practices over there will change for the better (for everyone around) & I wish you guys the best of luck turning this around.

This summer we will probably hire a part time set of hands to help out so we can keep up the pace. I know of the downpipe you speak of, I dont know if a mandrel bent version was available back in the day but I know we have both versions now, a mandrel and a non mandrel, the true mandrel is actually pretty nice. Thanks for listening, when I made my first post I was ready for the worst but Im glad to see that in light of some peoples feelings they are still capable of talking like adults.

I wouldn't want you to hate me personally because I work at a Bosch service center and you have had bad luck with bosch products in the past would I? I am a professional and can see that you are striving to become a professional and that is all a person could ask. 4 Months into my job, I was no where near where I am now skill wise. Keep the positive attitude and you will do well, whether it is there or somewhere else. This forum tries to talk things out like adults most of the time. If you do that, you are a step ahead of where your company was a year ago.
