Wow once again coming through with great service, and customer satisfaction. I have had one of their fuel rails which didnt fit right(you could touch it with 1 finger and fuel would spray ot toward the side of the car), one of their universal bb wastegate brackets to use on my 2871r which also never fit right. I wanted a wastegate with the bb37 turbo and the other 3k+ worth of stuff i ordered from them. What do i get a wastegate with a threaded rod at the end but nothing to put on the threaded rod which was like 80-100.00.

Not to mention it would never work with the wg bracket or the turbo i ordered from them, all which when purchased i was told it would fit on a de with a gtir manifold. I still have that laying around doing nothing, also it was huge. I also dont remember getting a discount for buying alot of money worth of parts from them. This was a few years ago already.

I have not bought anything from them since. Also does anyone know where to get a good oil line restrictor for a ball bearing turbo?

As a third party, I can give you my thoughts.

I think that $250 for piping is a bit much for just the cold side. Labor is expensive. But it seems really extreme to charge a price for a custom setup when a local shop could do it for about 1/2 the price and you get it back the same day.

I don't think they were out of line with all of their comments. They probably just think that you aren't going to pay, and are wasting their time.

I DONT think it is reasonable to have a wait time of over 1 week. And justifying it with your own "wait" periods is childish. I have dealt with JGY in the past and had no issues, but I think if I ran a business that people would get their stuff within 12-14 days.

I dont think bad of JGY, but their business practice is a little extreme. Turnaround time on a part order should not take weeks if it is a part that has been made before. That's what jigs are for.

But I will say I have bought stuff from them previously and other than the wait I have no complaints. Just my .02

i think that is a ridiculous way to treat anyone that could be a potential customer. There isnt a huge market for sr20 guys and the fact that they are one of the few places dedicated to sr20 consumers should mean that they should appreciate the business that they have from everyone of their customers regardless of the amount of money they are spending.

Dude, that piping kit is a ripoff. Even just the cold side piping is a ripoff. I had my piping built at my friend's shop for $250, and it's a TON of piping, because of the way that it's ran. It's not the best, but it definitely get's the job done.
