True, probably have to replace a panel, but if you get a tear, I'm wondering what that would have done to the paint had the plastic not been on there!

that stuff has to be a good protectant against, say, a light key mark or something. Anyting more than that and you're probably f-ed anyway.

Thru reading, it seems that this is just your standard everyday vinyl wrap. From what some in the biz say, it costs anywhere from $10/sq. ft. to $20/sq. ft.

Anyone have the roof dimensions from a B14 SE-R?

I would say 12-15sq ft. for the roof.

This stuff would tear and start to peal at some point. If a peal starts it is only going to get bigger unless you cut that section out. It wouldnt be a bad idea for a somewhat temporary thing.

If and when it does start to peel off....would it leave behind that messy sticky gunk, and then trying to use stuff to clean it off would mess with the paint?

Will not affect the paint underneath. I've dealt with vinyl wrap before, and the residue comes off relatively easy with some 3M goop remover stuff. I forget the actual product, but it's available at most paint supplies shops.

I just received a quote from Fellers. They quoted $450 to design, print, and install the "wrap" by a shop called "IMPACT Signs and XTREME WRAPZ" in Virgina.

Note the gloss I'm wondering how REALISTIC they can get Carbon fiber print to look...

I should mention, that the quote given to me would be to cover the roof, not the entire car.

I would imagine it would be cheaper to not "design" it but just do a solid color. I wonder what the price is on that? It can't be that hard to install......just do a panel at a time.

I'd NEED to do it in CF though, to complete the look I'm trying to acheive. Maybe a glossy black would suffice, though. I'll need to get my newly acquired part on the car in order to see how it would look with either wrap on the hood.
