3M Foiling/Tape instead of painting your car.
Not sure if this is off topic or not but if it is please move it to the appropriate section.

Has anyone heard about this? My brother brought it up yesterday and said its cheaper than painting a car and it last up to four years according to when I looked it up on google.

Well here's is the website 3M foiling changes the color of your car without repainting. My brother has a Mercedes and said that people on his forum have been doing it. Does anyone know where they can get this done at. It seems like a very good option to traditional car paint.

Here are some pics from the site of the process.

and the final product

Not sure but I'm trying to find out. Maybe I'll try emailing 3m but I don't think I'd try to attempt to install it myself.

It would cost alot, a giant body sticker.... Just imagine the bubbles and the time and expertise needed to get it so there aren't any bublles.

The cost of the product itself unless tailored to your specific shouldn'y be too much but labor will definately make a dent in your wallet.

Looks good. I'd have to see the price to believe it's cheaper than a paint job, but it definitely looks pretty tight and I would imagine it's durable as well. Must be a bitch to apply though.

looks cool but probably way more expensive than paint, just in labor alone
