cool thanks, I'm not even sure yet which bearing is bad, but I hear something god-awful like tire noise... and I had some pretty worn out tires, so I put on new tires.. still there.. and I had two cut CV boots, so I replaced both axles, still noisy, so I'm assuming it's a wheel bearing.. I need to pay closer attention when driving to figure out which one it is.
I have read that if you turn left and it gets louder it's the passenger side, and if you turn right and it gets louder, it's the drivers side... and if it does not change when you turn, it's one of the rear wheel bearings, and figuring out which one is hit or miss, you might have play in the wheel if you shake the wheel (when the car is on jacks) from the 12 & 6 position and there is play, but it could still be bad even if there is no play... ugh
