Thread: will a sr alternator fit a ga?

i searched both forums and even google.. i havent found any definate answers.. few guys say to change the pullys over.. another guy on some other forum i came accross while googling said no they dont altho the plugs are the same.. and the rest i found was pretty much un answered..

so any way ya.. i have a b13 sr alt an i want to know if i can put it on my friends b14 ga

i think the bracket that it bolts to is completely different

I know that a GA alternator will not fit an SR20 well. The problem is the positioning of the two pivot points, and how they are clocked relative to each other; you can use it, but not for long; you will be out of adjustment for your belt as soon as you tension it.

Best to get the right alternator for the right motor.
