No hazards or blinkers...HELP
Just as it says, the hazards or blinker lights do not work. Put multiple hazard light switchs in. Still dont work. Is the hazard and blinkers on there own circuit or do they run with other things like stereo, gauge cluster or anything? Gonna go through the fsm and try to trace some things, but figured Id try and get some answer off here too. Figured someone has had a simular problem.
Its a 94 se-r with a 91 harness through the whole car and a 93 engine...if that makes any diffrence.

I do know that without the hazard switch in, my signal lights didnt work at ALL. So yes, it's apart of the same circuit

it is ran on the turn signal light circuit, you might have a bad fuse on that circuit or something is disconnected. Or the hazard relay itself is bad, in that case replace the relay if you fuse power is good.

Its actually a friend of mines car. Im just trying to help him figure it out. We checked the fuses. (to 10s in the fuse box) There good. We checked the blinker switch.(good) The hazard switch itself has to be good. We got 3 of them and tried them all. We know they work. Today we tore the whole dash out. Were gonna try again on Wednesday or thursday to try and figure it out. Gonna tear it all back out and make sure everything is hooked up.

replace the hazard relay if all your power is good and wiring is good and connected. can you hear the relay ticking when turning the signals on or hazards on, if not then definetly a relay problem, switch problem or power feed to the relay from the switch.

That circuit is a really simple circuit, i believe that power feeds through the hazard switch first then to the turn signal switch if i can remember right off the top of my head, the hazard switch is there to cut power to the signals if the hazards are being used, the hazard switch then sends the signal to the relay. If you have a wiring diagram or chilton manual with the diagram just follow the circuit and check the wires along the way, check for the feeds and check relay operation.

If you have power feeding the relay and the relay is working then you might have an issue with another fuse supplying the main power to the relay, for the lights themselves, Check the signal fuse, and lighting fuses, both inside and in the bay. Sounds to me like you just lost either your signal feed to trigger the relay or the main power to the relay for the actual lights.

Again look at a diagram and you can figure it out.

Thanks for the help man. No we dont hear a relay pop at all when we hit the hazards or anything. So hes gonna change it tomorrow. I got a FSM we can use for the wiring diagrams.

good deal, let me know if you need any help, electrical is one of the things i am pretty experienced with, i love solving electrical issues. If your not hearing the relay you have one of two problems, relay bad or no voltage triggering it. I believe they use two seperate fuses for those systems, one fused for the signaling and one fuse for the lights themselves. So double check. If your powers and grounds are good then its gotta be the relay. but hey the relay is inexpensive so id say go for it. They do go bad from time to time.

cant remember off the top of my head which one it is, look on the diagram it should give you a layout in the fsm.

Clearly you need to change your blinker fluid!?!

I'm guessing blown bulbs has already been ruled out?
