small brake problem
im having a problem with the left rear caliper. im turning the piston counter clockwise like it says in the fsm but the caliper won't retract. i havent had to touch the rear brakes on the car in the three years ive owned it since i dont drive it much. help would be much appreciated.

I've not heard of this problem. The piston should retract into the caliper when you rotate it. Are you using large needle nose pliers on the gooved face of the piston and turning the piston while pushing it toward the caliper?

there's my problem! i was using large needle nose pliers but i don't think i was pushing the piston into the caliper hard enough. i was focusing mainly on turning it and not on pushing it into the caliper. i'm guessing by pushing the piston in you engage the internal threads? thanks bill!
