Thread: How to Remove Parcel Shelf on B14?

Alright so I'm trying to fix my rear speakers on my B14 but I can't figure out how to take out the parcel shelf. Could someone explain how to take it out?
Do any of the pillars need to be removed?

You have to get the pop things from inside the trunk to pop it up and then mine was taped to it in the back and I just pulled it out

not only that, but to do it right you have to remove the side pilar panels. They're held on by clips similar to the ones that hold the deck cover on. I have some old instructions from Crutchfield....if you want I can scan them and email them to you. It'll have to be later tonight or tomorrow morning since I'm in school until 10pm tonight.

take a small blunt object (i used a school book) and hit the small clips hanging down from underneath the shelf from inside the trunk. the shelf should pop up, and you should be able to slide it out
